A tooth does not know that someone has stopped driving. Pain, infection and ill-fitting dentures do not wait — and they are one of the most common reasons an older adult stops eating properly.

For patients who are homebound after surgery or a stroke, living with dementia, using a wheelchair, on hospice, or simply no longer safe to travel.

Nursing & Assisted Living

Recurring visits for residents, coordinated with your nursing staff. We see several residents in one visit and handle charting and family updates.

Group Homes & Memory Care

Dr. Anand is experienced with patients who have autism, developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s, and works at the pace the person can manage.

A Working Dental Office, in a Case

Portable equipment lets Dr. Anand do most of what happens in the office, at the bedside or in a chair by the window.

Some treatment still needs the office — implants and surgical cases, for example. Dr. Anand will tell you plainly at the visit what can be done at home and what cannot.

Dr. Anand sets up recurring on-site visits so residents get seen without anyone arranging transport, an escort or a day out of the building.

    We agree a schedule

    Monthly, quarterly, or as needed. You tell us which residents need to be seen and we build the visit around your day — including evenings and weekends, since we are open 24 hours by appointment.

    We handle the paperwork

    Consent, charting and family communication are coordinated with your nursing and administrative staff, so it does not land on your team.

    Residents get treated on site

    Exams, cleanings, denture work and urgent problems handled in the resident’s own room or your treatment area. Anything needing the office is arranged with the family directly.

Dentist Home Visit FAQ

Do you really come to the house?+
Yes. Dr. Anand travels with portable equipment to homes, nursing homes, assisted living residences, memory care units and group homes across New Jersey, and treats the patient where they are comfortable — in bed, in a recliner, or in a wheelchair.
Who qualifies for a home visit?+
Anyone who cannot reasonably get to a dental office. In practice that is limited mobility, wheelchair or bed dependence, dementia or Alzheimer’s, recovery from surgery or a stroke, hospice care, severe anxiety, or a disability that makes travel hard on everyone involved.
What can actually be done at home?+
Exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, denture fittings, relines and repairs, treatment of infection and pain, and oral cancer screening. Implants and surgical cases still need the office.
What does it cost?+
There is a travel fee for the visit itself, then treatment is charged as normal. Most PPO plans are accepted, and Sunbit and CareCredit financing are available. Call (908) 800-7600 and we will quote the travel fee for your address before anyone commits.
My parent has dementia and gets upset. Can you still help?+
Yes, and this is a large part of what we do. Dr. Anand works at the pace the person can manage, keeps the visit short and calm, and involves whoever the patient trusts most. Being in their own room instead of a strange office usually makes a real difference. See our special needs dentistry page.
How quickly can someone be seen?+
For pain, swelling or a denture that has become unwearable, usually within a day. We are open 24 hours by appointment, so evening and weekend visits are possible.
Do you take insurance?+
Most major PPO plans, yes. We also offer Sunbit and CareCredit financing, and an in-house membership plan for patients without coverage. See insurance and payment.
How do we arrange the first visit?+
Call (908) 800-7600. We will ask what is going on, where the patient is, and what they can tolerate, then book a time. Family members and facility staff can arrange it on the patient’s behalf.
